Robert Leslie “Bubba” Jackson, Jr. was born on his Big Sister’s 3rd birthday, November 21, 1967. Bubba passed away on Sunday; December 3, 2023 at his home in Bedias, TX. At the age of 56 years and 13 days, he left his favorite fishing holes on Dudley Ranch to fish with his Uncle Bobby in the Crystal Sea. He set a great example for his family and friends as he fought a long hard battle against cancer with an amazing attitude and never giving up. He said he had a family to take care of and did just that until the very end. His family doesn’t say he lost his battle, they all know that he won the war and is now totally healed at the feet of Jesus. Bubba’s life will be celebrated at 12pm on Thursday; December 7, 2023 at Day Funeral Home in Madisonville, TX with his cousin, Derwin Youngblood officiating. The burial will follow at Hagan Cemetery in Crockett, TX. The visitation is scheduled from 5-7pm on Wednesday; December 6, 2023 also at Day Funeral Home. Bubba was born on November 21, 1967 in Houston, TX to Robert Leslie Jackson, Sr. and Margie Lou (Stephens) Jackson, and was a long-time employee for Dudley Construction and the Dudley Family of College Station, TX. Robert was known as “Lil Robert” to some, “Bubba” to most, “Unkie” to his first loves, his oldest nieces and nephew, Heather, Cassie, Bryzy, and Bryan. “Uncle Bubba” by his younger nieces and nephews, Briannon, Kyla, Macy, JJ, Justin, and Emma. He loved being “Daddy” to his greatest blessings, his daughters and son, Tiffani, Bobbi, Brittani, and Jeffrey. Yet of all these, his favorite title was “Big Papa” as he was known by his grandchildren, Brooklynne, Colton, Joshua Jr., and Kayce as well as his great-nieces, Irony, Robynn, Maggie, and Chloe. Bubba was preceded in death by his father, Robert Leslie Jackson, Sr.; his father-in-law, Robert “Bob” Holliday Jr. and mother-in-law Melinda “Mel” Jones, his maternal grandparents, John and Panama Stephens; his paternal grandparents, Walter and Virgie Jackson; and his great grandchild, Griffin. Left to cherish his memory is his wife and the love of his life for 18 years, Heather Marie (Harry) Jackson, his mother, Margie Lou (Stephens) Jackson, his sister, Mechelle Jackson and her fiancé, Steven Smith; his brothers-in law, Jason Harry and wife Chrissy and Jeff Harry and his wife Keri; his children and pride and joy, Tiffani and Lewis Winn, Bobbi and Josh Casebolt, Brittani and Nicole Crittenden, and Jeffrey Harry-Jackson; his grandchildren, Brooklynne Brewer and her boyfriend Tristan Tassin, Colton Rusler, Joshua Casebolt, Jr., and Kayce Casebolt; numerous nieces and nephews who he loved like they were his very own, and his favorite dog, “Little Bit”. It is not goodbye, it’s until we see you again! Serving as pallbearers are: Jeffrey Harry-Jackson, Jason Harry, Jeff Harry, Josh Casebolt, Michael McBride, Josh Smith, Ryan Templeton, and Bryan Kelley. Serving as honorary pallbearers are: Bryzy Woodruff, Irony McBride, Kolt McBride, Robynn McBride, Brooklynne Brewer, Colton Rusler, Joshua Casebolt, Jr., Kayce Casebolt, Steven Smith, John Wiley, Brittani Crittenden, Jason Harry, Jr., and Briannon Schabowski.
