Patricia Ann (Mayes) Sweetin

Patricia Ann (Mayes) Sweetin; 84 years and 7 months; a long-time resident of Iola, TX; passed away on Tuesday; January 6, 2026 in Madisonville, TX. Her life will be celebrated with a visitation for her family and friends from 6-8PM on Tuesday; January 13, 2026 at Day Funeral Home. “Pat”, as she was known to her family and friends, was born on June 6, 1941 in Danville, IL and married George Robert Sweetin in 1962. She was a wife, a mother, a grandma, and a great grandma who loved raising and taking care of her family. Pat also enjoyed bowling, crocheting, playing bingo, traveling, dancing, cruising, working on a good crossword puzzle, playing board games, canning and cooking. She loved being surrounded by her family more then anything and her family was everyone who entered her life. Pat’s kindness, strength, and unwavering support touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Pat was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Beryl Criswell; her dad and mom, Charles Wesley Mayes and Dolores Darling (Lonberger) Mayes; her uncle, Art A. Lonberger; her step-sisters, Donna Criswell and Vickie Moore; and her sister-in-law, Ann Sweetin. Pat is survived by her husband of over sixty-three years, George Robert Sweetin; her children, Charles A. Sweetin (Leigh), David W. Sweetin (Gina), Kim Andrews (Craig), Brent Sweetin (Tamara), and Patti Wolff (Craig), her grandchildren, Zane Sweetin (Brittany), Samantha Tyra (Alex), Kristin Mizrany (Gordon), Justin Sweetin, Steven Andrews (Nikol), Aaron Andrews (Ashley), Abbey Winkenwerder (Caleb), Lindsey Garrett (Drew), Kimberly Sweetin, Christopher Sweetin, Kyle Wolff (Sam), Robert Wolff, Emily Wolff, Caleb Wolff, and Juan Wolff, her great grandchildren; Carson Sweetin, Cassidy Sweetin, Addison Mizrany, Gracelynn Mizrany, Savannah Mizrany, Zara Mizrany, Riley Andrews, Natalie Andrews, Gabriella Andrews, Bryson Andrews, Mackenzie Andrews, Baylor Andrews, Ella Andrews, Emory Garrett, Case Garrett, Alexander Swift, Aylin Wolff, and Knox Wolff; her brother-in-law, David W. Sweetin; and her sister-in-law, Mary Sweetin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to The Patricia Sweetin Fund in care of Madisonville Consolidated School District (718 Bacon Street; Madisonville, TX 77864).
