Jewell Maher, 91, of Madisonville passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at her home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Day Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville. Troy Brooks will officiate. On Friday, February 19, 2010 funeral services will be held in Beaumont at Pine Burr Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont, Texas. Jewell was born March 28, 1918 in Woodville, Texas to Jason and Cora Tucker. She was preceded in death by her parents; and first husband, Michael Wiggins.
Survivors include her husband, John Maher, Jr.; step-children, John “Drew” Maher, Alan Lee Maher and Sherry Lynn Byrum; and numerous grandchildren.
