Loretta Kay Wigington Powers, 65 of Leona, TX; passed away Saturday, November 28, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family.  A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00AM Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Leona Cemetery.  Bro. Ed Houk will officiate.    

Kay was born on March 12, 1944 in Granite City, IL to Lester Wigington and Oleta Nadine (Bruce) Wigington.  In addition to being a homemaker for her family, she worked many years as an LVN.  She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother and 3 sisters. 

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Coy Frank Powers of Leona; sons, Coy Gene Powers of Dickinson, TX and George Anthony (Andy) Powers of Dickinson, TX; daughters, Tammy Kay Powers Billingsley of League City, TX, Shelly Denise Powers Parker of Leona, TX, Becky Regina Powers Peters of League City, TX, and Bonnie Ann Powers Madore of Canaan, ME; brothers, Larry (Buddy) Wigington and Rickie Wigington; sisters, Shelby Walters, Ava (Dinky) Milby, Brenda Caldera, and Regina (Jeanie) Tipps; special friends, Bill and Pat Grayson, Debbie Wooley, and Carolyn Sample; and numerous other relatives and friends. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Brazos Valley.
