Alexandra (McCorauodale) Hardin, 101, of Madisonville passed away Monday, April 6, 2009.  Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00PM Thursday, April 9, 2009 at North Madison Church of Christ.  Lanier Stevens will officiate.  Burial will follow in Midway City Cemetery.  Alexandra was born August 12, 1907 in Midway, Texas to E.A. and Annie (Sowell) McCorquodale.  She was a school teacher in Midway until the school closed and then came to Madisonville and taught here for many years.  Alexandra was preceded in death by her parents; brother, J.O. McCorquodale; and sister, Maureen Gassiott.  Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Jonas and husband, Nick; granddaughter, Madeline Massey and husband, Jay; nephews, J.O. McCorquodale and wife, JoBo and Ernest Gassiott and wife, Roshelle; 7 great nieces and nephews, and special friends, Thomas and JoAnn Adams.

Going next door to visit Sis. Alexandra was one of my most precious childhood memories...that and when Madeline came to visit! She was a precious, precious lady that I loved dearly. Please know that you are loved.
