Geraldine Geneva “Geri” Holcomb Barbee, 86, of Corpus Christi, TX completed her earthly journey on January 6, 2012.

Geri was born in Madisonville, TX on May 11, 1925 and was married to Paul Peyton Barbee.  They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with their children at The Woodbine Restaurant and Hotel in Madisonville on July 26, 2011.

Geri was a member of Weber Road Church of Christ in Corpus Christi and attended Mt. Tabor Church of Christ and North Madison Church of Christ when she came home to Madisonville for visits.  She loved her Lord and the church with all her heart and was so thankful to her mother for guiding her on the right path; and, was forever faithful.

Geri was an astute business woman working side-by-side with Paul in various business ventures throughout the years.  She was also very active in the community and in her beloved New Neighbor’s League in Houston and Corpus Christi where she made many life-long friends.

Geri was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Holcomb and Frances Mahala (Horton) Holcomb, six sisters, three brothers, and one great-granddaughter.  She is survived by her husband, Paul; her children; Rebecca Lucille, Paul Peyton, Jr. and wife Sharylee, Randall Lee, Jonathan Peyton, and Geraldine Geneva “Gera” Barbee; her grandchildren; Barbara Barbee, Melissa Walker, Paula Cuevas, and Cassidy Barbee; ten great-grandchildren,; and numerous nieces and nephews.
