Bettie Carolyn (Seagler) Standley, 66, of North Zulch, TX passed away Friday, December 30, 2011.  Graveside services are scheduled for 1 PM on Tuesday; January 3, 2012 at Zion Hill Cemetery in Lovelady.  A visitation is scheduled for Monday; January 2nd at Day Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville from 5 – 7 PM.

Carolyn was born on November 13, 1945 in Houston County to Austin and Ruth (Bennett) Seagler.  She was married to her husband, Ernest for over fifty years and was working at the time of her death with Nurses Unlimited in the home health care field.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Emma Louise Luce, and her daughter-in-law, Kristen Standley.  She is survived by her husband, Ernest; daughter, Carol Standley, sons, Michael Standley and Lynn Standley; grandchildren, Jerry Torrez, Charles Torrez, Brian Torrez, Jonathon Compian, Payton Standley, and Layne Standley; a great grandson, Zane Compian; and a brother, William Seagler.

I enjoyed water skiing with Carolyn in Houston, TX in the late '50s. RIP Little One. I love you.
