John “Pee Wee” Wilkinson; formerly of Madisonville, passed away Monday, November 15, 2010 at his home in Bryan.  Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Day Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial to follow in Plainview Cemetery.  The family will receive visitors from 6-8 PM Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Day Funeral Home Chapel. 

Pee Wee was born June 10, 1936 in Grimes County to James William and Martha Debbie (Parker) Wilkinson and was retired from The Texas Department of Criminal Justice.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Janette Wilkinson. 

Survivors include his children, Mike Wilkinson and Leann Wilkinson; grandson, Kylar Wilkinson; brother, Fred Wilkinson; sister, Bessie Ritchie; brother-in-law, Cecil Gustavus and wife, Kathy; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Pallbearers are Donald Clute, John Childers, Kevin Gustavus, Cody Majors, Timothy Majors, and Randy Parker.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to The American Cancer Society or The United Pentecostal Church of Madisonville.
