Juanita Batts Rucker, 85, of Madisonville passed away Sunday, November 14, 2010. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 17th at The North Madison Church of Christ. Bro. Will Odom and Bro. Troy Brooks will officiate. Burial will follow at Greer Cemetery. The visitation is scheduled for Weduesday, November 16th from 6 – 8 PM at Day Funeral Home Chapel.Juanita was born on October 12, 1925 in Logansport, LA to James and Thelma (Bannister) Latimer. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Gilbert Joe McLain; and her brothers, Joe C. Batts, A.J. Batts, Robert Batts, Hollis Latimer, and Billy Latimer. Survivors include her husband, Dean Rucker; her daughter Thelma Risinger and husband Norman of Madisonville, her daughter Pam Bullock and husband Horace of Milano, her son Gary Rucker and wife Janie of Conroe, her son Jim Rucker and wife Mary of Normangee, her son Dean Rucker, Jr. and wife Jeannine of Paso Robles, CA; and 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, numerous great-great grandchildren; other family members, and friends. Serving as pallbearers are Joe Rucker, Brian Risinger, James Rucker, John Rucker, Chad Wheeler, and Ryan Fuentes. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Jess Carlton, Garvice Risinger, Sonny Goodrum, Jimmy Earl Gilbert, Lloyd Carter, and Ray McVey.
