Dorothy “Dot’ Day McAdams, 97, formerly of Madisonville, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010 in Fort Worth.   

Dorothy was born on November 12, 1912 to J.P. and Mattie Day McAdams.  She graduated from Texas Women’s University and worked thirty-eight years as an educator.  Many of those years were spent teaching homemaking in Madisonville.  Dorothy was a lifelong member of The Church of Christ and was an avid and accomplished bridge player.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters; Mary Beth Hardison and Johnnie McAdams Braddy. 

Dorothy is survived by her nephew; Jay McAdams Braddy and her nieces; Martha Braddy Ford and Mary Anne Hardison. Dorothy was buried in The Madisonville City Cemetery along side her parents.
