 Linda Utecht Davis 61, of North Zulch passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at her home after a short battle with kidney cancer. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Friday, July 16th at Day Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville. Funeral services will be at 10 AM on Saturday, July 17th at Willowhole Chapel in North Zulch with the burial to follow at Willowhole Cemetery. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Gus Utecht. She is survived by her mother, Bonnie Utecht Olsen and her husband Ole Olsen of North Zulch; by her daughter, Lori Cosby of Conroe; and by her son, Brian Baker and his wife Rebecca of North Zulch. Her grandchildren, Kyela and Kiera Cosby of Conroe and Emma and Tripp Baker of North Zulch were a very special part of her life. Linda is survived by her sister, Bobbie Scott and her husband J.R. of Pasadena and their sons, John and his wife Diana of Mt. Pleasant and Alan of Pasadena. She is also survived by her brother, Larry Utecht and his wife Karen of Leander, and their grandsons Jeremy and Koby. Linda was born in Houston and graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in Pasadena. Her last thirty years were spent in the medical profession in Bryan and Madisonville with Dr. Richard Morgan, Dr. David Brannon, and Dr. Fred Tan at Bryan Nephrology Center. She loved reading, traveling, and watching sports, including any events her kids and grandkids participated in. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that a donation be made to one or more of the following: Hospice Brazos Valley at 502 W 26th Street; Bryan, TX 77803; Brazos Valley Kidney Disease Fund at 1705 E 29th Street, Bryan, TX 77802, or Katelyn Conner Benefit Fund in care of First Prosperity Bank at PO Box 666, Madisonville, TX 77864. Pallbearers are Benny Allphin, Jess Gilbert, Craig Murphy, Rodney Murphy, Alan Scott, John Scott, Daniel Theiss, and William Theiss. Services have been entrusted to Day Funeral Home in Madisonville.
