Cleo Cloriman Ramsey ,87, passed away Monday, June 7, 2010 at his home in Bedias, TX.  Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00AM Saturday; June 12, 2010; at St. John Lutheran Church which is located at 15235 Spring Cypress Road in Cypress, TX 77429. 

Cleo was born April 20, 1923 in Lockesburg, ARK to Leslie and Demma Jeffcoat Ramsey.  Of the various jobs he had during his lifetime, he best liked telling stories about the service station he owned, Ford Motor Company, and Gardner Denver.  Cleo was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Louise Belt Ramsey; his natural parents; his foster parents, Charlie and Neely George; his natural brothers, Louis Darr (Leslie Ramsey, Jr.), Pete Isom (Wynton Ramsey), Kenneth Knight (Roscoe Ramsey), and Hoyle Ramsey; his foster sisters, Inola Knight, Zadie Ransom, Vester Chisham, Clevie Wright, Louvina Wynn, and Louellen Priest; and his foster brothers, C.R. George, Jr., Van George, and Troy George.     Survivors include his daughters, Mary Richardson McKenna of Marietta, GA,  Glenda Ramsey Cordray and her husband John, Jr. of Spring, TX, and Mickey Ramsey Snider of Spring, TX; his grandchildren, Katherine Bittner Burns and her husband Aaron, Tracy Jones Walthour and her husband Todd, Joni Ellis Stanley and her husband Benjamin, Charles Ellis and his wife Rochelle, Kristopher Julian, and Amber Snider Elliott and her husband David; his great grandchildren Chance Burns, Austin Burns, Josh Thomas, Nicholas Walthour, Elizabeth Walthour, Sarah Walthour, Michael Ellis, Alexis Danielle Stanley, Kamen Stanley, Lexi Ellis, Marsha Cleo Ellis, Jacob Ellis, Hope Julian, Ethan Julian, and Cyrus Elliott; and his foster sisters, Geraldine Tadlock and Neoma Diden. 

 

Cleo has such a large and caring heart that he formed a loving bond with acquaintances and many of his children’s and grandchildren’s friends. Your earthly body is gone, but your spirit watches over us, protects us, and lives on in each of us until we meet again.
